In 1951, Jack in the Box opened its first restaurant in San Diego, California,
pioneering the drive-thru concept and featuring 18-cent hamburgers.

Those prescription discount cards are really a godsend to those of us without
insurance. However, don't forget to ask your doctor if he/she has one for a
particular prescription. For example, my doctor put me on an inhaler, Symbicort,
that costs nearly $200 per month. However, he gave a card issued by the makers
of Symbicort, whereunder I got the very first month's prescription totally free. AND,
the card is good for $75 off each of the next 11 months' prescriptions. The folks at
my pharmacy (who are wonderful) found a way to combine that with a discount card
and got the cost down to $104 (still too much, but what a difference). So, James,
please remind folks to check with their doctors for savings cards. Plus, sometimes
doctors will give you samples. After all, they get the samples free from the
pharmecutical companies, and some will pass those on to their patients. We
uninsureds need all the help we can get!!
