Hello Everyone,
Here's your (not so) totally useless fact of the day:
In June 1946, NBC-TV and Gillette staged what they billed as the first "television
sports extravaganza": the Joe Louis-Billy Conn heavyweight fight at Yankee
Stadium. The fight was a huge viewing success with an estimated audience of
150,000 watching on just 5,000 sets. For every TV set tuned into the fight, there
were an average of 30 people watching. Many were seeing an event on television
for the first time.
Got something to say?
Won a prize, or got a cool freebie, or just have something cool
to share? Just hit reply and let me know!
HI James,
I work with a local 'free medical clinic', we serve the uninsured of our county in
IL. I am the patient assistant program manager, there are many many programs
for all sorts of medications that you can get if you fit into the program guidelines.
Usually they stipulate that you have no insurance, and your income be at or
around the 200% of the federal poverty level. There are also some programs for
medicare aged patients who are low income... Anyone can go to
http://www.rxassist.org/ type in the name of the medication and it will let you know
if there is a program for it. It may seem daunting to fill out the form, but it is not!
Most physicians office staff should also be able to help. In my small community
clinic, we have approximately 300 patients on PAP medication programs. Last
year I was able to save the clinic and the patients over $350,000 by helping with
the paper work and getting patients signed up. If you are lower to mid income,
have no insurance and no state assistance, I would urge you to look into these
programs. They really do work!

*** Movie Madness ***
haha, this is GREAT!
With movie ticket prices reaching $10 and beyond in most theaters, moviegoers
are in an awkward position these days. No one should ever have to fork over $10
to the evil MPAA just to see 85 minutes of whatever Hollywood is currently
peddling as entertainment. So what is the avid, but principled, moviegoer to do?
Movie Madness is the answer. The basic premise: see as many movies as you can
in one day for the price of a single ticket. Not only will you be standing up for your
rights as a moviegoer by withholding tens of dollars from the movie industry, but
you will experience a non-stop, thrilling roller-coaster ride of entertainment and
adrenaline. It's practically a sport.
