Here's your (not so) totally useless fact of the day:
The first McDonald's opened in 1940 in San Bernardino, California.
By 1970 there was a McDonald's in every state.

That was the McDonal'ds Brothers.
Ray Kroc bought bought the franchise from them and opened his first
McDonald's in 1955 in Des Plaines, Illinios. (about 5 miles from me)
