I finally went to redeem the gift cards I had and put them onto my amazon
account, and I wanted to let you know that they have simplified the process!
Now, all you have to do is, yes, first, you have to click on "Add Credit/Debit Card"
like always. But, now, after you have added that, rather than having to buy
another gift card to send to yourself to load it to your funds, they instead have
another option (I learned when I went to send it to myself and it asked me if I just
wanted to load the funds to my account).
You go to "Your Account," and then "Your Amazon Wallet." Lower on the page, it
says "Your Balance," and there you can click on a link to "reload your balance" or
another to "redeem a gift card." Since you have already added the gift card to
your account, you just select the box for that card/funds to be transferred, type
in the amount of funds you want loaded into your account into the box, and then
click "reload," and voila! Your money is in your account! (Well...not voila, not
instantly--it can take up to 5 minutes! My second one took a bit longer, but no
more than 5 minutes!) And you didn't have to go through the hassle of buying
another gift card to send to yourself just to get YOUR money on YOUR Amazon
account!!
