Here's your totally useless fact of the day:
Juan Metzger, a former Dannon Co. executive, is credited with putting
fruit in yogurt. Metzger was recognized for suggesting the addition of
fruit at the bottom of containers of the dairy product to improve its
taste. The first flavor was strawberry. Metzger's father, Joe,
co-founded Dannon Co. in the Bronx in 1942.

I want to thank you for so many gifts, large and small, that come in
the mail. Every day, going to the mailbox is an adventure. I'm
particularly enjoying all the bars and snacks I send to work with
my husband. Gives me time off from being creative. Now, I want to
ask two favors, greedy as that may seem.
First, every time a new person calls 1-800-FREE411 during the month
of October, they'll donate one dollar (up to $25k) to benefit the
National Breast Cancer Coalition Fund.
Second, there is a wonderful site called Elastic Waist, where they
discuss health and body issues, often hilariously. My daughter's
show started there today, The Daily Special with Kimberly Rae. I
know, hope, many of your readers will enjoy it, and, suggest
topics that interest them, make comments, and generally have fun.
