Here's your (not so) totally useless fact of the day:
The first written usage of the English word "sandwich" appeared in
Edward Gibbon's journal, in longhand, referring to "bits of cold
meat" as a 'Sandwich'. It was named after John Montagu, 4th Earl
of Sandwich, an 18th-century English aristocrat, although he was
neither the inventor nor sustainer of the food. It is said that
Lord Sandwich was fond of this form of food because it allowed him
to continue playing cards, particularly cribbage, while eating
without getting his cards greasy from eating meat with his bare
hands.

I found two really great free sites for people that are trying to lose
weight. The first site explains why you gain weight, and then tells you
how to lose it. It has a great calorie calculator to determine how many
calories your body needs every day, then tells you how many calories to
cut back on to safely, and easily lose weight. The second site is a free
online journal that allows you to count your calories and chart your
weight loss progress. I have already lost 8 pounds in 4 weeks! It really
