Ford was cast as the school principal, but his only scene was cut.
Director Steven Spielberg decided his presence in the film would be
too distracting. Ford's wife Melissa Mathison wrote E.T.'s screenplay.

Just thought your readers might be interested to know that Bond Rewards
is legit. I have been with them for about a year and finally earned
enough to receive my first $100 savings bond. After I applied it took
about 4 weeks to come from, as the envelope says The Bureau of the
Public Debt....lol, didn't know there was such a place. I could have
opted for $50 in a check but I decided to get the savings bond and hold
on to it like my Dad used to do. I think of it as a small bit of savings
for me and I am half way towards my second one, so let everyone know
they are an honest company to deal with. Thanks for a great and
interesting newsletter.
